Talk about bringing back memories! I have built that kit but never painted it. I'll have to go looking for it. It is an overall not too bad kit, except for missing the ball and chain things dangling from the turret bustle.

Cheers,
Jan

Ball and chain was not installed on the initial Mk I's. Those kits do bring back memories though.

Skipp, you know I love you, but I am going to beg to differ on this one. Are these not Mk1's during Op P4G?

Hi, for the discussion/confusion. Merkava I early can be built without Ball and Chain, this was added later. Combat expirience modification. Also you can do an Merk I without anti skid, added later. Later MerkI allways with Ball and Chain and anti skid. Not 100% sure, Ball and Chain was installed during or after the first Lebanon war in the 80's.

Great Build, great memories! I found one a while back that was long forgotten in my stash. I updated it with parts from Revell's MkIII

IIRC, Eddy Nevarez-BRAILLE, did a masterful job detailing this kit. I believe the thread was called Lebanon- Merkava 1982. It was back in 2012. Worth a look for sure. Excellent build BTW!
