Getting round to painting my MKIV and the instructions say mix equal parts of Tamiya XF-52 Flat Earth with XF-55 Deck Tan.

Is this correct for these WW1 tanks? I know there's been a lot of debate about the colours but I was wondering if anyone disputes Tamiya's colours?

I went with the Tamiya mix and I am happy with it. it is much closer than "moss green" than the takom instructions say to use.

Thanks Dylan. Yours is coming along great but I wonder if Tamiya's recommended mix makes it a tad too light?

Apparently, the preserved Mark IV "Lodestar III" at the Royal Museum of The Armed Forces in Brussels has its original camo colors :

Thanks all! Coincidentally too I picked up the latest issue of Military Modelling today and there's some good photos of the preserved example in Brussels inside.
