Do you recommend dry brushing before or after your coat of future? I know for washes you want to do it after so it flows better. But brushing?

Thanks,

Ron

I drybrush as well as I paint details before glosscoat, because i'ts much eadier to paint over a matt finish.

For me, before the gloss coat. The oil paint that I use seems to adhere better on a flat finish.

Hi Ron, I always drybrush on the matt surface without clearcoat. If I use decals I only put clearcoat where the decals are going. I have great luck using Archers dry transfers on the mattsurface and then maybe put some mattcoat over them for protection during further weathering.I have always felt that clearcoat levels the textured finish that we try so hard to recreate in the first place. This is purely my own way of doing things. Hope this helps.
