Off to a really good start Chris, I think everyone has a struggle with figures. All any of us can do is practice until we get an acceptable result that we are happy with.

I don't see any seams and your blocking is excellent. You have the basics covered very well.
Play with some washes and some dry brushing and I'm sure this will be fabulous.
