Thanks Jerry for your never ending support and sorry for my late reply !

Okay , lately i have been working on three other figures and two of them are finished today ! These figures like i've said before are made from different bits and parts coming from multiple kits and remainders of previous builds.

A Corporal is heading towards the beach and helps a soldier who is completely affected and demoralized...
The pictures ;

Thanks for watching !

This seems to be shaping up nicely. Your choice of figures and poses will give a great sense of drama and urgency to the completed work.

Hi Kurt, love your work so far.....something that I picked up on is the first figure painted (flamethrower guy) has the gas bag fitted incorrectly..! The opening which you have to the top should be on its side and in toward the groin....if you look at the molding of the bag it should fit nicely rolling around the leg and not with the gap you can see from the side image. If you check the box art on the Dragon Rangers you will see it in the correct position. Just thought I'd let you know mate.

Anyway, small point, thought you would like them.

Nice work and details on these figures. Using water effects is something that I have always wanted to do but I am sure it's going to take a while to master. Seems difficult to work with and achieve the perfect look. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Jerry ,
thanks again buddy for your support . Yes i have seen the new release of Masterbox ( If i'm right ?) pretty cool stuff indeed. Italieri has also a new kit with figures standing up in a LCVP boat , maybe a new idea for you to make a D-Day dio ? You have the perfect skills to do it , wish i could say that

Thanks for the visit J and welcome in my Topic . Well you right using water effects isn't the easiest way to create a scene but if you have patience i'm going to show you my way of making a water effect including the waves .

Hi all ,

a smallish update of the third figure . He got hit and hangs over an obstacle that's the idea .

The pictures ;

Thanks for having a look !

New guy looks good and I like the pose. Is it my screen or does he look shiny? Remember, clothing is not shiny when wet,but it gets very matte. Darker in color as well?

I like the figure's pose getting hit.

I would like to offer a suggestion for this figure if you don't mind...

On my build (WIP) I have planned on creating various combat effects... One of them I think would go well in particular with this soldier.

If you cut thin wire (I use guitar wire gauge 17) to size, cut a little hole on figure's body to simulate bullet hole entry and exit, then glue a small piece of wire and paint it orange, red to simulate a tracer round, add your water effects to simulate blood splashing out on the exit wound it should complete the action scene and make it a lot more realistic and hectic.

Not sure if you like this idea or already had it in mind but it's something I planned on using on my build.

Great job here so far, thanks again for sharing.

you need a radioman, a bangalore torpedo lol . kewl stuff...should make some water with blood in it...craters from arty. MG bullet splashes behind the men...make sure they are 6-8ft tall splashes.
Better yet...a trail of MG bullet splashes in front & behind a guy ..getting ripped up as he's running up the beach.

Hi guys ,

thanks for the replies !

* Jerry , you right he does look shiny because the wash wasn't dry when i took the pictures . I use this wash or better filter so that the clothing and gear gets an overall grayish color . I made the wash myself by the way . When it's dry (and if necessary )a coat of matt varnish has been added.

* JGphins , thanks for the tip and i'll see what i can do

* Easyco 69 , the radioman is an excellent idea , the tall splashes too so thanks for that !

What i meant before about the third guy dangling on a obstacle is this

I'll hope you like it and more soon....

Thanks for watching !

Nice work Kurt , I think David [ easyco69 ] has the right idea with creating a bullet storm around your figs in the sand and water .
After all it happened .

Hi all ,

just to give you an idea . Still work to do on those shiny spots on their clothing . The BAR gunner on the right side of the obstacle lies down now, i had to change the motion how he throws his bag away. Hope you like it ?

Thanks for watching !

Looking good, Kurt.

Something like this has been on my 'to do' list for a while... you may have given me the impetus.
I might steal, I mean 'take inspiration from' your ideas, if you don't mind

Cheers
