Yep, was looking at Hobbyeasy for the Nagmachon from Hobbyboss, and it is priced very competitively at $34.84US, verses Tiger Models' $52.90. It stopped me where I was, having already paid for the TM one from Sincere Hobby. Even with the discount from Sincere Hobby, the Hobbyboss one is way cheaper.

Well, if you don't have one yet, now is the time

Click on the "Trumpeter/Hobbyboss New Arrivals" on the left side.

Personally, the Tiger kit looks better as far as kit contents and details go. Includes the chain connections for the side skirts, coloured clear parts for periscopes and glass, metal tow cables, etc. And I'd rather spread my money around and support the new comer, as long as the kit is generally accurate. Can't let HB/Trumpeter take over the world!

I ordered mine from Sincere Hobby with a 1 week delivery, so hopefully it will be in the post today. If it isn't, I'm telling mom.... no really, I will post here as soon as it arrives, and give you my first impressions.

This arrived today, and all I can is it is freaking good.

The plastic is crisp, no flash seen, and the details as clear as you'd want. The packaging is second to none, I'll give you a couple of examples: the dog house bit is one piece, and comes in it's own case, within the box; all the additional details like the chain, PS, wire rope, etc, are all individually bagged and taped to a piece of card about A4 size. Nice touch.

From a quick glance at the lower hull, there are location points evident. This may, I say may, suggest an interior at some later stage, a la Meng's Achzarits. But you be the judge.

All in all, this may be the finest kit I've purchased in 2015. It may also be my last as I try to build what I have.

I am very satisfied with this kit. Thank you, Tiger Model

Having had a closer look at the kit, I get the distinct impression I'm looking at a Tamiya kit. I'd almost prepared to bet a kit that Tiger is an off-shoot of Tamiya.

The kit is great, and something that suggests a further kit(s) is that there is detail to remove, which is odd on a new kit. And some of the external detail is separate what could be moulded on.

Yes, thanks Kylie...I was trying to decide which kit I wanted, the Hobbyboss or the Tiger Model kit. When I saw pictures on Tiger Models kit of the PE, colored glass and the one piece dog house, I decided to go with it. I was concerned about the details, fit and parts quality, however. You made me feel much better- in fact I went and ordered their AMX-30B2 Brennus, as well.

I have the tiger nagmachon kit, which seems ok, but I am puzzled by 1 thing though, :- the appearance of a section of the black cardboard sheet approx. 5"x2"( containing the p/etch ,decals etc)is sprayed silver! any ideas? as there's no mention of it in the instructions!.

Which of the two (Hobbyboss or Tiger Model) seems to be better in terms of detail and overall quality? Is there any comparison review?

I concur with a lot of others here. Looking at the instructions and the moulding youwould think it was a Tamiya kit. I'm working on something else at the moment so I can't comment on how it builds.

Tiger Models certainly appear to be one manufacturer to watch.

Just finished Tiger Model's offer. It's a fairly good kit OOB, however the slat armor seems a bit on the thick side.
E.T. models does offer an aftermarket product for the kit with (apparently) the correct sized slat armor, but other than that it doesn't seem to worth the rather high price tag. Just my two cents...
