It appears that no suitable colour for Russian Dark Green is available from Tamiya. The exact match according to the latest book I have (Osprey Modelling Manual T34-76 &T34-85) is Humbrol 117, (US Dark Green).
I am rather pleased with the effect I get with the Tamiya paints and the thought of going back to enamels is not something I would relish.
Has anyone experimented with Tamiya acrylics to match this colour and if so, please what percentages of what did you use?
Many thanks.

From what I've read, the soviets had plenty of variations in the paint colors.
It differed from one production plant to another...
So don't be too afraid about color match.

I use the IJN and IJA greens as well as dark green, simply due to the fact that the Russians used a variety of greens.

Check Tamiya for a dark green similiar to NATO dark green or the old US MERC dark green. I use sveral different dark greens so that my collection of 1930-40 Russain armor has some variety.

Thanks for all your help guys.
I guess the answer is try all that you have suggested and pick the one I like best. (Looks like a job for the wife, I can't tell black from white some days!
Many thanks again.
