Nice update! I like how this cast of players is coming together.

An update, just to show that this project hasn't been cast into oblivion, it has just gone at a very, very slow pace.
My basement flooded, and my stash (which is larger than I thought) was in jeopardy. So a week was spent taking care of the cellar, and looking through the stash at everything I forgot I had, and drying out soggy boxes.
I've also just recently got around to getting my compressor working, and I've begun testing it out- including on the interior of this kit. It's loud as all hell and I'm going to go deaf by years end, but aside from that, I love airbrushing already.
I'm working through the mess of PE parts on the interior, and my work is sloppy at best- luckily, it won't be very noticeable in the end, as the 250 will be packed.

That's the past two days of work. I'm on spring break, and 80% of my free time is spent at the bench, the other 20% is, well .
I've also been working at one of the few little vignettes in this diorama, probably my favorite one.

A verteran NCO has a nervous breakdown after his entire squad is wiped out before his eyes, and a comrade tries to keep the feeling from spreading to the other grenadiers. I owe the idea for that duo to Roger Hurkmans, and one of his very inspiring dioramas.
Hoping to have an update again this week once I've got the interior cobbled together and painted. Did I already mention that I love airbrushing? Cause I do.
Thanks for looking!

This is my favorite group of figs yet from you bubba. Excellent choice of facial expression. I,myself, hate working with almost all PE and I do not like airbrushing at all!
I got a good deal on a medium size comp. usually used for nail guns, etc. So it only runs until the tank is full. I don't use it much when painting so the air lasts a long time. Of course, when the thing runs low and the pump turns on again with a mighty blast it scares the hell out of me! LoL

Been a while!
While my Panther drags on, I'm getting back to some parts of this diorama. I figured out through an expert over on ML that given the uniforms on my infantry, there's no way this could have been Wiking in Hungary.
So! Now we've gone north, to the mysterious Pomeranian campaign, and this is Operation Solstice, the Stargard Counteroffensive that scared the daylights out of the Russians but ultimately lead to nothing. I've got a healthy amount of photos and references on this period as well, so I think it'll be a fun switch.
Right now I've more or less finished with the motorcycle and rider. A bit of PE, Hornet hands, and putty.

Really fun, detailed and engaging build. The PE was a real pain at points, but I think it came out great and will look awesome when all is said and done.

Gloves tucked into his belt, because who the hell rides a motorcycle in Pomerania in the winter bare-handed? Subtle, but worth it. The PE belt is a must on most of my figures by now too. I chose to stick with the kit head, since after carving detail into the ears, it will be fine. He will be holding a map when he's all done.
Thanks for looking!
