Hello all,
What are the best Tiger I and Tiger II kits out there, regardless of price or manufacturer (1/35th scale)? I usually tend to look for things like decent tracks, PE parts included, and metal barrels, as well as crispness of molding.
(Any tiger I variants, and only the Porsche turret tiger II)
Thanks!

Dragon for both. The Dragon Tiger I kits are great, although a few of the reissued ones skimped on the PE. Ryefield models is almost as nice and the Early has an interior. The Dragon Porsche II is very nice. The Tamiya one isn't too bad. Zvezda just released a Porsche kit, but I haven't seen anything on it

Try to grab the DML Porsche Tiger (this wasn't sn actual term by the way) with Zimmerit, it'll save you some work as all of these early tiger II had zimm.

Thanks, guys. I'm not a total stranger to these kits and already have Tamiya mid version tiger I and ardennes front tiger II. I'm looking for another tiger I or II. I was leaning towards the DML porsche tiger with zimmerit. Is there 1 main kit for this or are there several, some better than others?
What's the best DML tiger 1 kit in terms of mold and value (PE parts and barrel)?

I have Dragons Tiger 1 late #6253. It has lots of PE, metal barrel, magic tracks and the fenders are preformed. Which is nice IMO. You'll have to figure something out as far as the zimm is concerned because its not molded on.

Skill level is decent and I do like accuracy. DML porsche turret with friuls a safe bet? Any other suggestions for a tiger I? Heard some DML versions had accuracy issues.

Here's really all the info you need:

It really depends what Tiger you want to build, but I really can't think of an instance where dragon would not be the way to go. Maybe if you want to build a 503 vehicle?

I'm not picky as to the variant of the tigers, as long as the kit quality and stuff included is top notch.

Dragon are putting out Early Tigers now, which are the most accurate ones they've ever released, but because of the Feifel gear they might be a more complex build than you'd like.
Their 6730 is very nice and has figures, but it makes one vehicle only. 6820 is very similar and has a variety of ways you can paint it, and the Feifels don't have to be used. 6608 will make a brown-green Tiger no matter what decals you choose.
6600 was simpler and has a couple of schemes from grey to white camouflage. 6700 was also simpler than the Early Tigers and the decal sheet is a treat, with a variety of units covered.
