I just realized I would have a use for the Airfix "Travelling Crane", a dockside item meant to travel along rail tracks (but not mounted on a railcar). It's 1/72 scale, or so (maybe HO - OO), but close enough. I had one in the '60's on my RR layout, but of course, all that is long gone. Now I would like one for a dio. Anybody seen one?

Biggles, there are a few unmade examples currently on ebay.uk, priced £25 to 30. I think it's been out of production for years, so it's now collectable.

Biggles,
The item you are looking for is currently available from Dapol (ref.C030). In case you weren't aware, many of the old Airfix lineside kits (locos, rolling stock, buildings, structures and figure sets) were taken on by Dapol some time ago. You can check out their full product listing by visiting www.dapol.co.uk
Alternatively, give them a call on 01691774455. Their address is Dapol, Gledrid Industrial Park, Chirk, Wrexham LL145DG.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Paul Bennett

Thanks for the link Paul. Saw a lot of old Airfix buildings I had and forgot about. Very nostalgic!
