First let me say I don't have half the modeling talent of the folks that typically show their builds here and at 65 it's only getting worse. That said, I thought I'd post some shots of this combo build. They are the Dragon Panzer Korp models at 1/144 scale. I elected to display them together for comparison but they were probably never even close to one another. The Leopold barrel is actually centered even though it doesn't appear that way in the photos and, just for grins, the last photo has a AA battery in it for scale.

They look OK to me too... Very nice, and a great concept to display them both together in this way. And figures too, always a bonus.

Incidentally, I noticed today that a company called BigBlueBoy do a resin, etch and metal version of the Leo in 1/350 scale, as well as both short and long barrel versions of the Karl in 1/700!! So if you are up for a further eye sight and hand steadiness test...

Well Rgeraci,
You have certainly done an excellent job with these 2 guns.
And I really like the display.
Cheers,
Joe

These were "cute" little kits from Dragon - too bad they're not so available anymore. If you want to put a realistic gun crew with your models, try these: http://www.shapeways.com/product/KQPX3GEEB/1-144-german-arty-crew-set1?li=shop-results&optionId=58462425 I have several figure sets from this designer, in various scales, and I recommend his work. This artillery crew is also useful as informally dressed workers, and come (as most of this line of figures) in various scales.

Thanks to all for your kind words. As far as 'little figures" I have the 1/200 Surrender Ceremony set for the deck of my 1/200 Missouri but that's about the limit of my eyesight, even with an Optivisor. Appreciate the link Biggles2. I have the 1/144 Soar Art Dora waiting in the wings to build and those figures might just do the trick.
