I have not seen anything on this kit either. Mine is being shipped from Hong Kong and will get here in about 2 weeks. I can post some photos here unless someone does it before I do.

Mines enroute....I believe it just came out last week, so people in the West aren't going to see it till this week at the earliest.

This is what he meant http://www.moxing.net/2016/0112/6892.html

It's engineered like the good many car model kits.

Mine arrived from Hobbyeasy a couple of days ago. Happy to post a picture of anything that's not already in the preview pics from the link above.

My first impressions were:

-disappointed that it has closed doors, and a one piece glass assembly. Also, seats look unrealistically sharp and will need some softening / sanding etc.
-amazed at how big it is - compared the chassis and cab piece to my unbuilt Meng Hilux pickup cab and chassis and it is significantly bigger (have driven in the US so appreciate F350's are big but wow)
-pleased to see there is a choice of wheels (two hub options), and a bed extender, and the tires have nice detail.
-forlorn as I searched through the box for the promised adhesive foil for the mirrors - box front says it has realistic foil for mirrors - but no sign of it in my box and not mentioned in instructions as far as I can see.
-impressed with detail generally - think it is slight improvement over Meng's earlier Hilux kit
-happy with value - decent kit for the roughly US$20 it cost.

Only nitpick I have about the kit is that its a higher trim level F-350 that wouldn't be normally used as a military type vehicle.

The basic truck like this one would be much more appropriate for military usage.

Then again you can have fun with it and build it as a vehicle that was sold to some nefarious third party and it winded up in Syria or something with a weapons system in the back

A 2004 standard cab F-350 would make a great Irish defence Forces SRV...maybe the aftermarket will do it (the 2008 in the kit just has a different front end/grill on it)

Hi Ciro - some photos below of front bumper parts, rear bumper, wheel hubs, clear parts for lights - and a quick comparison with the Meng Toyota for interest. Just quick pics with an iphone but hope they help...

Mine came today, also from HobbyEasy.

Yes, there are two Ford decals, one for the grill and one for the tailgate. There is no Ford decal for the steering wheel, but I guess that's so small it doesn't matter. There are also two F-350 side decals above the front fenders and two red "4X4" decals that go on the sides before the taillights. There's a decal for the instrument panel. There are no license plate decals.

I also do not see any metal foil for the side mirrors although I didn't open any of the shrinkwraps. Interestingly, the metal foil sheet doesn't appear in the parts list on the instructions so perhaps it's something MENG totally forgot to add.

There's an optional choice of side bar steps or side running boards.

There are no chrome plated parts...everything is black styrene with clear styrene for the windows and lights. Tires are vinyl.

Length is 188mm, width is 76mm.

Or you could work on a rendition of this incident

the original owner was not amused

Well it could always be used as Air Force truck or Navy SeaBee's if youre looking for military versions.

To me it should be quite close to the version used by the Iraqi police :

You'd just have to change the shape of the wheel rim holes and scratchbuild the spoiler and the push bars

Another option :

Looks like the need for a 1/35 lightbar and push bumpers gets a boost. Hopefully those items will release in 2016.

This kit could be built as Afghan National Police or Afghan National Army too. I know that is what I would do.

It could also be used as a skid unit (wildfire brush truck) if someone makes a resin back utility bed box or a bed pump unit for it, or a fire rescue, or a police bomb squad truck. Of course we'll need the 1/35 lightbar and fire decals as well.

Not the same truck as the photo above.

I'm holding onto mine in hopes that someone does make a 1/35 resin utility box body for the rear half or a police or fire unit conversion. Fingers crossed!

Looks like the first thing the aftermarket companies need to make is a new front headlight assembly to recreate the trim level that all of these photos have in common. The Meng kit is of the full chrome front end which has a completely different headlight setup.

Eric
