With the price of paint these days, I've decided to mix my own colors. Anyone else out there doing this? I just mixed up a small amount of German field grey, it's almost an exact match for tamiya's or lifecolor's. Dummy me forgot to keep track of the amounts of each paint I used though. I used Apple Barrel paints, a little water, and a little window cleaner. I paid $1.79 for 8oz. of Apple Barrel paints . I probably used about 5 or 10 cents worth to make a half of a Tamiya bottle. With kits costing at least $25 each, I'm trying to cut corners any way I can. I have not tried them through an airbrush yet, but I don't think there would be a problem. #:-)
