Looks nice but good luck trying to replicate that ACU pattern. I assume that at some point, tankers will be rocking that new multicam pattern? Slightly easier to paint IMO.

My bad, forgot we had a figure forum
Hey Gino, what's with the OD jacket that one tanker is wearing? Never seen that before. Is it nomex or fleece? Thought the fleeces were all foliage green these days.

Looks to be fleece. It also looks like a mixed uniform. The fleece for the new OCP (Multi-cam) is a more OD color (actually Cayote brown). Right now, both UCP (grey camo) and OCP are authorized for wear. Some of the winter gear can be worn with either uniform since not everyone has been issued both sets of winter gear. Eventually, 1 OCT '19, only the OCP will be authorized for wear.
OCP Fleece
The fleece could just as easily be pained in Sage Green to match UCP as well since the fleece pattern is the same, just a different color.
UCP Fleece
Or its just that the color is off in the drawing.

I don't think it was supposed to be fleece, but probably the OD green CVC or "Tanker" jacket. The cuff is one clue. Either way I hope the figures turn out as good as the box art. -Dan

Still looks like fleece to me as the CVC Jacket isn't really worn/issued anymore.

Is the fleece approved to worn without the gortex outer liner? Especially for tankers, I thought they had be all nomex?
Loved the fleece, aside from a poncho liner (or two), it was my favorite bit of snivel gear. My old black one is still warmer than any of the overpriced North Face crap that is out there today.

We all know that sometimes necessity takes precedence over issued clothing, I for one have dodged the uniform police and worn an unissued jacket like the one shown, based on that in happy to paint this guy up and fill one my empty hatches with this little fella.
Cheers Ben.

They probably wouldn't put rank and name tape velcro stripes on it if couldn't be worn like that

If it is indeed a fleece jacket, I wonder how Miniart is going to replicate the furry texture of it. We shall see.

Yeah, I should have asked if it is approved for wear when you are tactical or "outside the wire" as it is known today. I know it's approved for use in garrison.

Yes, the fleece is authorized for wear anywhere, anytime. It is one piece of about a 10-piece cold weather gear system that comprises different layers for different levels of cold. It is quite effective.
