just finished my afv club scimitar and I am looking for the right vallejo desert colour to paint it?

You're talking about British Gulf War sand, right? VMA 028 Sand Yellow seems like the closest colour to it.

If I can offer my opinion, go for the color that looks pleasant to you rather than the 'right' color. Models are 100% different than the real thing and often times the 'right' color will change anyway after the weathering stages if you use washes, oils, or filters.
