They are pretty accurate, but make sure you sand off the ejector pin marks on the inner pad surface.

The tracks are great! No fit problems, and a far cry from anay of the kit tracks out there.
In terms of painting and weathering, look at your reference photos and try to match the metal color as best you can. After you do that, take a Sharpie marker and color all the pads (it has a sort of purple shine to it when you do this, but after a coat of dullcote it's black). Apply dullcote. After this, use some pastels (again, depending on the theater of the tanks, usually either a brown or light tan) and lightly scribble over the pads. Take a thick, soft brush and brush off excess/blend the pastels. When you are happy, lightly spray some hairspray over the tracks, but remain at least a foot or two away from them (too close and you risk blowing the pastels around.)

I appreciate your help and I cannot wait to start my abrams for the AID group build.. Also, does anyone know of a website (prefer here in the states) that sells AM tracks for modern afv's? I will also bee looking for some for my WWII models. I am just wanting something that is here in the US. Thanks.

I've always had real good luck with Mission Models. The website is at www.missionmodels.com and if by anychance they don't have what you are looking for, they can usually get it fairly quickly. My last order came from California (where they're based) to my house (in New Hampshire) in two days. The crew over there has always been extremely helpful and they have a huge selection of aftermarket goodies.

Try using a motor tool on the track pads. The reference photos I am using for my Abrams all have the track pads in pretty sad shape. Can only imagine the asault from Kuwait across the desert was hard on them, not to mention the crews. I hope to post some images of my current project soon, I really like the way they (AFV tracks) turned out.

From the looks of it the AFV "Bigfoot" kit I have would really come in handy for the OAID Campaign.
