Hi
Finished the tree that the parachute is caught in..(photo in my gallery)..Endedup
13" tall.. Bottom part of trunk is from a stunted azalea, top part of trunk is from a
lilac. Filler between branches on trunk is from the left over bloom stems of a
smoke bush... sprayed with photo glue and sprinkled with poultry spice ( if it dont
look good at least it smells savory #:-) ). Resprayed and sprinkled on birch tree
seed pod flakes.. let dry and airbrushed for color.. as always- comments and
critique welcome.... seeya chris

Looks very nice! One question though, how are you going to attach the parachute without ruining it? Will the branches support much weight? By the way, those buildings blow me away! Tbis is going to be a real winner when you get finished.

WONDERFUL tree, too many times you see short scrawny trees, this one is dead on.
I can't tell from the photos, did you go in a touch up branches near the leaves to paint them 'brown'?

Great tree,
the tree really makes the third dimension come to life. Awesome. Can't wait for the chute to land in the tree.

Very nice tree. Looks very real. I'll have to try making one from natural materials instead of twisting the wire and messing with the spackle. Thanks for showing us the pic's. Post more as you progress. Cheers Kevin

Thanks for the replies... I too am anxiously awaiting the chute
landing in the tree..and will it hold? and how will i attach it?
Dunno and dunno.. if it dont hold ill have a nice dry rub for my
next barbeque. When i seasoned(?) the tree with the poultry
spice, alot of it stuck to the upper branches so i did touch up
the branches with brown paint.. lost a little natural texture
because i was sloppy with the photo spray glue.. not the easiest
stuff to control..... JH- I dont spend alot of time looking for the
perfect single trunk.. they are hard to find.. usually saves time
to grab alot of medium size pieces and just start cutting to shape
and see what fits together well.. and grab some birch tree seeds
if you can.. they are great for leaves..Think it may have been

Looking really good Kancali!
For the parachute, I think I have a solution for you. Iīll try to put something on paper today and make an Envarīs Excerpt of it. I think there are many people wondering a good-looking way to do it...
Cheers,
Toni
