Did this tank exist, I have no knowledge of it. And it looks like it will be a new release from Takom.

Yes, it exists. But there is only one and it resides at Duxford IWM. I just bought the Accurate Armour turret as well!!!!

Also just discovered that Finland bought 7 turrets and mounted them on T-55 chassis, and are now in the process to mount those turrets onto Leopard 2A4 chassis.

It was a one off too market the Marksman turret which was brought by Finland and mounted on their T-55 hulls and now fitted too the Finnish Leopard 2A4's. The Cheiftain Marksman still exists and is currently at the Imperial War Museum Duxford and is a runner.
The turret was designed to be able to be fitted to almost any tank chassis with the use of adaptor kits.

I would presume with the T-55's coming from Takom, we will see the Finnish variant in the future too.

That would be a very impressive kit-bash.

The Finnish turret is not exactly the same.
The Marksman turret was also trialed on tanks like M60 and others.
From WikiPedia's Marksman turret entry
"Marconi also offered conversions for existing users of T-54/55, Type 59, Centurion, M48 Patton, Vickers,Chieftain, Challenger 1 and Leopard 1 tanks. None of these variants were picked up for deployment."
Cheers,
Christophe

Fantastic to see the Chieftain Marksman in plastic! I am very happy I held off on the AA conversion!
The turrets mated with the Finnish Leopard 2A4 hulls have been upgraded and have some different details than seen on the ItPsv 90 SPAAG.
Maybe we'll see the Chieftain Sabre too!

You're welcome ;-)

If they do decide to make a Finnish version (the only Marksman vehicle actually put into service) they'll need to make sure it's got the Polish build engine deck and all the little extras...

I wish they would just make the turret. I would like to put it on the tamiya challenger 1 but I dont want to spend the money for the whole kit!

No idea about Takom, but the Marksman turret has already been done by Accurate Armour in resin, which while designed for the anquitic Tamiya Chieftain should fit most tanks the turret was designed for.

You can currently purchase the Takom Chieftain versions for $44.99 USD plus shipping at Lucky Model. I would expect the Chieftain Marksman to be the same.
The Accurate Armour Marksman turret is listed at about $59.50 USD plus shipping for outside EC buyers.
Your choice based on the numbers.
