What color would fence posts be in the Normandy area around D-day?

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. You mean the kind of wood a fence post would be made of?

A well weathered fence, no matter the type of wood, will start to become a sliver-grey color after years outside. A newer fence would be 'wood' in color.

Of course, some fences are painted, around houses or buildings, and would be white, green, or whatever.

Hi Chip

I would have to go with what sniper said. most of the color pics I have of the area show the fences around houses are painted. The ones out in the fields are more of a natural wood which over time turns a grey with black highlights [cracks, edges etc] Keep in mind also the hedge rows are what separated the fields. I hope this helps, good luck.
