Was the A4 variant of the Sherman ever produce with the wet stowage hull? (As in without protruding hatches on the glacis)

No. Production of the M4A4 ended in August, 1943. The wet stowage hulls appear at the beginning of 1944.

Deliveries of the M4A4 continued after that date because the US rebuilt the 1200 training tanks it had in inventory and transferred them to the UK. Deliveries ended in October, 1944, but they were all dry stowage vehicles.

Gerald is right on the money.
The closest the M4A4 ever got to having a different nose is the M4A6 which used a cast glacis...
