Yes Tazz they do make the right tracks for the D but you also have to change the Drive sprocket as tamiya cheated and used the same 40cm track that they used on there PzrIV H kit ...I don't have the exact set number that you need but they had the 36 cm tracks on the D's Friul also has the drive sprocket . and if you have bought any of the new hummel kits from dragon you can use the spare early idlers to help out the Tamiya kit ...You might have to do a bit of work to get them to fit the Tamiya hull though.

Hi Tazz-
Yes, Friul makes a set for the PzKpfw IV D.
You should be aware that the Tamiya kit does not have the correct running gear for a PzKpfw IV D. The D version had 36cm tracks, and the Tamiya kit uses 40cm tracks, sprockets and wheels. So if you buy a set of Friuls specifically for the PzKpfw IV D, they will be too skinny for your Tamiya kit.
If it were me, I'd get the Friul ALT-04 set of tracks... these are 40cm tracks and will fit on your kit nicely. They even have the hollow guide horns... tremendous tracks.
Like i said - i would go with the Friul ALT-04 set (these say they are for the PzKpfw IV F, G, H and J) but since Tamiya used the running gear from their H kit on the D, they will work for you. I hope this made sense... hehehe
