Wow! How long has that Hobby Boss FAV been on the "Coming Soon" list?
Posted: Monday, February 01, 2016 - 12:28 AM UTC
The list is missing the recently announced T-80U family in 1/35 and the 1/35 scale and the T-80B and BV in 1/35 scale.

What's even more interesting is that if a vendor CAN'T make it...move on to something else such as the USMC M1161 ITV, Polaris MRZR or DAGOR, Flyer 60 or 72, Boeing Phantom Badger, ATV, or some modern US FAV less difficult to research and make. Hmmm...

It's probably just easier for them to keep that FAV in the catalogue than to take it out and have to rearrange the page

There have been other manufacturers that have strung us along in the same fashion:
BRONCO's Maxx Pro MRAP, AFV CLUB's M60A2, and a few years back, AFV CLUB's M8 HMC, and DRAGON's M3 Lee/Grant...
Oh, well...

The actual plastic parts for that kit have been already shown (whilst the others you mentioned were just boxarts), I'm sure it will get release soon.

At least as long as the DML M4A3E2 Jumbo and longer in the catalogue than the once promised DML FAV

i like the looks of the T-72 B Mod. 1986, T-72 B Mod. 1985, M1A1 AIM and the M1A2 SEP, all in 1/16. too bad those tanks in those scales seem expensive.

I think it s time for Gino to start a detailed scratch building project and assure that the FAV kit is released the day after completion, right?

Funny you should mention that. It is on my to-do list, albeit way down it, but there. I have gathered a bunch of references and thought about ways to do. Nothing solid yet though...someday.

They didn't say coming soon on those photos so I guess they were hinting at the T-80U/UD/UM announcement..

Glad they finally decided to release those since I didn't get the Xact scale ones on time (those few remaining available are overpriced).

We may have 2 or 3 left in stock. $69.90, is this overpriced for this kit?

That depends on how good the Trumpeter kit will be and how much it will go for as I get the impression that Trumpeter started bumping the prices somewhat. On the other hand, the Xact Scale kit's barrel needs replacing so there's an extra expense there.
I personally decided to wait for the Trumpeter kit given the price of the Xact Scale kit (though I did try to get it at auctions a few times when it appeared, but failed). But, if I had run into it at some model kit store, I probably would have snagged it for $70+ so it all depends on the circumstances.
