The M36B1 was the only tank destroyer that had a bow machine gun and my question is how different was the interior of the M36B1 from any M4A3 75w or 76w sherman and also wondering if anyone have the interior from Academy'a M36 Jackson tank destroyer that they are willing to part with any help will be greatly appreciated

The M36B1 was a turret swap and nothing else. You can't use the parts for the standard M36 chassis interior.

The driver's compartment was pretty much standard M4A3 fit-out, but the fighting compartment had a floor similar to the M36 and a whole new sponson layout. There is/was a resin set out there for it - even if you don't buy you could use the pictures.

Here's a link to one I was building:

Timothy,

It had to be at least a bit more than a turret swap because the 90mm ammo had to go somewhere and, being larger than the 75 or 76mm ammo, once you start to shift things around for the larger ammo, the rest of the stowage starts to shift as well. It's pretty much guaranteed that the interior would have to be some mix of M4 and M36.

If you go that route, you can use the drivers compartment from the Academy kit (the seats are wrong, but you can't really tell through the hatches). The fighting compartment floor is adequate too (although not 100%, the boxes at the rear need to go), but the rear wall and the ammo stowage is wrong. I figured it was easiest to scratch-build it all from Evergreen... (But the gearbox is a home-poured resin item from a rubber mould I made of the Academy parts!)
