Camo for an AT gun

Hi guys

A small problem. I'm going to be building a British AT gun as part of my RMG dio. The photo I'm using shows tree branches being used for camo. My question is how would they keep the branches on the gun The gun is moving so I'm assuming the braches are tied on some how.

the british AT guns(6-pdr,17-pdr etc) had small metal hooks on the gunshield, they would have probably either shoved the branches under these, or tie them to the hooks,
like this



you can see the hook thins have some rope tied to them

I know the Germans used wiring loop with rope twisted through them...

James Tainton made great buildlog on the DML Hornisse. Here he made these loops for the wiring, complete with great pics...

They used this on their AT guns as well. I assume the Allies used a similar system...
