Hi guys,
While Takom and now Meng are doing us well on Chieftain kits is there any way we can influence them to do the FV432 series or Cvrt.
I have sent them emails but no such luck yet!

cheers Jacko

Looking at how these three new companies (MENG/Takom/Tiger-Model) have been going, I really feel it will only be a matter of time before a lot of modelers start getting what they wish for.

YES! In plastic. I haven't justified buying the resin detail set.

We need some more UK versions of the Centurion because the AFV Club's have all disappeared. The only ones I can find are overpriced on eBay!

Its a bit frustrating when Takom are doing a version of the Chieftain,ie Marksman which never saw service and was only a prototype when there are many vehicles they could do that actually saw service.

Szekely, you have just typed the Accurate Armour product list with a few exceptions,
I think we need Tacom to do some Chieftain variants as they have the suspension on sprues that can be stuck into any other variant box, we really need companies to start building Armoured recovery vehicles in plastic, as they are the most common variant outside of the MBT..... this goes for their T-55 models too.

I would love to seen a plastic kit of a FV432 as there are a serious amount of variants on this vehicle... from the basic vehicle to the command, mortar, ambulance and the repair vehicle that was the main vehicle for repair and maintenance before the advent of the Challenger MBT, whos engine was too heavy for the hiab to lift so they put a Atlas crane jib on the Chieftain ARV.

But we also need early Viking patrol vehicle used by the Royal Marines, and later ones with bar armour were used in Afghanistan, a Beaver forklift would be nice from anybody except Azimut, a tracked Rapier would be lovely too, and a new plastic Land Rover 110 Defender.

We also need British troops and vehicle crew for 1970s, 1980 for populating dioramas...

A Jackal and Coyote in 1/35, plus a Scimitar 2 and when it comes into service Ajax which is the programme name for Scout SV and it's variants.

I'm specifically a WWII modeller so it's unlikely that I'd build any new modern kits as there's not really any figures for them in plastic. However the FV432 would seem to be a very logical one to produce as it was the mainstay of the British army for years and has so many different variants a manufacturer could work their way through them as Dragon did with the Sdkfz 251. First release the basic 432 troop carrier then start releasing things like ambulance versions etc. Also the veritable 4 tonner (hated driving those bloody things. Crash gearboxes and unpowered steering are no fun) which had to be one of the most common vehicles in service both as a load carrying vehicle but also a troop carrier. If there were Cold War British troops available in 1/35th plastic I may be tempted.Just my two pennys worth.

I'm building the Chieftain Mk 5 and it's a really nice kit. Like others have said a 432 series would be awesome as would some Ferrets. I live in hope....
At least I now have the early scimitar conversion on it's way to me so 64A might finally see the light of day....

I did build an Accurate Armour Abbot SPG - the only full resin kit I have built. Took a bit more work yes, but hey! I have an Abbot!

I did a build blog on my site if anyone is interested in seeing how it went and the challenges I had to solve. http://nicksmodeltanks.com/Build.htm

Why this ? The Hobbyboss kit is very well done.

I would prefer a land rover serie 90.
