Does anybody know if the Marder 3 had any Zimmerit on them, or with them being an open top they didn't need it? Thank You ahead of time for your answers. Straightedge
I know the gun crew is in the open, but the driver is enclosed, and on saving private Ryan the US soldiers was in the building and shot down and got the gun crew, but I can't remember how the stopped the open top, but they did use sticky bombs to stop the other tank, but they stuck it to the wheels, which Zimmerit wouldn't help anyway, so I didn't know.

Dont think I have ever seen any "open tops" with zimmerit. If there was .... it would be very, very unusual! Why stick a mine onto something, that you could lob over the sides?

I, myself have never seen a Marder with Zimmerit.
Actually, being open topped, it would not be needed becuase instead of magnetic mines being used by infantry, they could use Grenades, small arms etc, if they were that close.
