I had a quick question regarding these two kits
Where is the Ground Penetrating Radar at?
All the Huskies I saw in Afghanistan had the front mounted GPR
Just curious

That's an excellent question that I have been asking myself too.
Hopefully an aftermarket GPR will be created that can be adapted to both kits.

They fold down from the sides of the vehicle, the image you have shown is a different offering.

I was thinking about the pre order , I've been waiting for at least 4 months for the new patriot missile system. How long will it take this to be released to use.
Happy modeling

The side mounted sensors are still there. The front mounted GPR unit is an addition that is commonly seen on deployed vehicles in addition to the side mounted sensors.

As a matter of technicality.... the side mounted sensors are NOT radar. They are metal detectors. I suppose a purist would say its the same thing, but on a much simpler scale. The array under the vehicle has front and rear, left and right sensors and can tell the operator when they are sommewhat centered over the item of interest. There are also paint sprayers on each array that allow the operator to mark the targe and move away from it so the Buffalo, or whatever other interrogation device, can exploit the finding. Mk-IIs that I trained on in Iraq in 09 didnt have the GPR installed as I suspect it wasnt fully developed yet, but they DID have a smaller version of the interrogating arm like a Buffalo. It was far less sturdy and only had two pronged spork. HTH
