I am looking at building a Mark 4/5 series tank and am asking those that have built the kits which kit would you recommend? I know Tamiya is probably easiest to assemble but who's final product looks best?

Personally I'd go with the Meng kit, in my ever so humble opinion, they have the edge!

Best looking kind of depends on configuration. Meng of course has a very full interior but Takom seems to have a slight edge for a fully button up machine.

Final looks really depend on the skill of the modeler,I've seen some great looking Tamiyas for sure.

I have the Meng one in the stash and it looks very clean, with crisp molding, the interior is included but is almost totally obscured even with the hatches open, I would think for the finished article you'd be looking at Meng/Takom. However both of these makes have long winded builds so bare that in mind.
