I've seen Legends do this before, where you must replace the front quarter of the turret with their detail piece. I'm a bit skeptical about this, especially getting an accurate and clean cut. Anyone have actual experience with this method and can comment on it? As it is now, I'd be tempted to give this set a pass specifically because of the method...
Damon.
I have used two Legend M48A3 resin manlets on my Dragon kits. I believe that Legend decided to make things easier for us in this set. Removing the front part of the turret is easier than removing the fron part of the turret, around the manlet, thus avoiding the complicated shape.
Furthermore, filling and sanding around the manlet is much more difficult than doing the same thing on the turret surface.
And they also avoided providing in photoetch the parts for securing the manlet cover on the turret, as in their A3 manlet set. They are much better depicted in resin this way.
I will definately buy this set for my IDF A2C. Thank you for the review.
