This is an early version Darren, as it does not have the domed commanders hatch, rear exhaust deflectors and different mudguards.

A very welcome addition to any IDF modeller's collection. Sure wish they had not included vinyl tyres in another Centurion version.

Paul: It is my understanding that the uprated suspension was the main visual change. I did note the raised commanders hatch, but I was not sure if all had the raised hatch due to the emphasise on the suspension.

Hi Darren,
you are correct. The suspension was there from the start of the Puma program. The other changes came after a number of years from what I have read and been told. Crew feed back like the heat deflectors which stopped the jerry cans and mine pads from been melted.

To be clear Paul: I have been lead to believe that early Puma's had the standard Centurion suspension and the later version had the upgraded suspension.
