Sprues in detail:
http://bmforum.com.ua/index.php?topic=333.0
The build:
http://bmforum.com.ua/index.php?topic=338.new#new

All I can add is the kit has two engines
Also, rumour has it that guys at Miniart are planning to develop their own line of T-34/76s ('hex' turret type) soon after or in parallel with their SU-85 kits.
That's all for now, cheers

Hi;

"OHHH MAN CMON" !---NOT A THREE PIECE LOWER HULL TUB !!!
I thought my days of SKIFF type kits were Long Gone !
And this kit looks like it would benefit from A turned Metal Barrel. Other than that it looks like it will be A Vehicle We have waited for A Long Time !!

CHEERS;MIKE.

...A THREE PIECE LOWER HULL TUB !!!...

What's wrong with that? I thought the days of motorized Tamiya - which needed a strong hull - were long over!

Paul, is there a transmission in the kit? I don't see one in the photos of the sprues.

That is a feature, not a bug. Having a seperation hull floor and sides is the most wields arrangement for assembling all of the interior details.

I'm afraid it's not there. They declare 'FULLY DETAILED FIGHTING COMPARTMENT INTERIOR' but not the whole interior, because everything driver-related is absent too. You might have seen the renders on their web page:

That should be quite an opportunity for the AM Resin makers.

No transmission and driver's compartment. This is unfortunate. Are there reference pics available?
I just had a quick look at my ususal sites and could not find anything on these areas.

Perhaps this is the reason of their lacking.
I suppose that they are similar to that of T-54. Any ideas?

I don't think you can use T-54 references for the T-44 (without accidentally making some kind of weird hybrid). While the basic hull was nearly the same most of the fitting such as the engine, turret, suspension, transmission etc had a lot of differences IIRC.

Not too worried that there's no transmission, I can live with it and I'm going to get the kit....I'm very, very happy we are finely getting a T-44. Can't wait to get one in my own hands...

Also in stock at LUCKY- AFV CLUB's new RG-33 "HUSKY" and Rommel's AEC "Matador'...

I don't care much about a detailed Driver's Compartment or the lack of a Transmission in the Engine Bay. You probably can't see the Transmission through the Engine Cooling Louvers, anyway. I build my Tanks either "all buttoned up" or with Hatches open to show off my Crew Members, so as far as I'm concerned, I only bother with what will obviously need to be there to create a realistic impression- Periscopes, controls, armament, handles, and the like...

I looked on that site and it does not have any T-44 by Miniarm listed.

Luckymodel has it for $36 + shipping

Maybe in Russia there are very high customs... because of political reasons?

Received my T-44 yesterday from Lucky. It really is a nice kit. Only complaint I have and it's a minor one, is that the bulk of the sprues are in one bag, not individually bagged. I have no missing parts and nothing is broken. Just prefer that each sprue be individually packed.

Hi Vernon, what was your experience with RuScale? I want to order an item by Veteran Models and they are the only site I can find listing it as in stock
Thanks
Sean
