Put it on Ebay immediately. Price it at $24.99 to start. It will be bid up to the fair market value, whether that is $25 or $250. Use that money to buy the FM kit.
When Hobby Boss announced their T-28 and T-35 I put my ICM and AER kits on there ASAP and got more than enough to cover buying the Hobby Boss releases.

I'm in the same boat, I think I'll buy the new one and do a parallel build. That Brave Models kit is really nice.
