OK, I give up. In almost every German stowage set I have, I get one or two pieces that look like aluminum briefcases. They're strongly ribbed and look like they open like suitcases. I could see a Gestapo guy carrying one. I've never seen one in a museum, so could somebody please tell me what this is, and what color it should be? They sure look good in black....

Sound like stick grenade cases to me....they are supplied in the Tamiya German Infantry Weapons set....
