That T-44 is just insanely cheap for all the interior and other contents you get in the kit.

Very nice! I want to build an AMX-13 as used in France. I am torn between the 75mm vs. the 90mm. How common were the 90mm versions in French service?
ETA: Same question for AMX 13 w/SS11 ATGM. Were they all equipped with them after a certain period or were they issued in some ratio?

IIRC all 75mm AMX-13s were upgraded to 90mm after the gun was introduced,

Thanks for the heads up. I'm really intrigued by the T-44. Just placed an order.

AFAIK, each tank regiment had a squadron or a company of AMX-13's fitted with SS-11 missiles to increase their anti-tank capabilities.
The last AMX-13's in the French Army (AMX-13/90 variant) were phased out in 1990.

Just took delivery of the T-44 kit today. It came from LuckyModel in 9 days and was ridiculously well-packaged. The sprues are all in one big bag, so I haven't had a chance to pop them open and inspect them, but what I see so far looks decent. The instruction book seems fairly clear and there are nice color plates showing markings for several unidentified army units in 1945 and a couple post-war schemes.
I admit that I know next to nothing about the T-44, but find wartime Soviet hardware fascinating.
