I couldn't pass this one up.
"Aaah, be astonished at this devastating weapon of war that we brave fighters have captured! What? Use it in combat against its former owners?!?! I'm gonna have to think about that-I'll get back to ya...."

Sorry I brought it up, other than the thread brings up the inflatables in ww2 England it was a complete waste of your time.

i quite enjoyed looking at this. it reminds me of those Kurdish homemade tanks.
I see Hamas got a number of mistakes on his model. maybe he should join Armourama to get tips on how to correctly portray detail.

Morning, Joel:
Thanks for sharing! It's interesting to say the least and every bit as relevant as any of the Nazi what-if stuff. Actually far more relevant.
Cheers!
Chris

I enjoyed reading it! What a ridiculously funny story, how they thought they could pass that off as a real Merkava is beyond me! Loved some of the funny comments above too.

Wasn't this a parade float? These types of organizations are particularly elaborate in planning their displays during "peacetime" and IMO Israeli government accounts on the interwebs aren't all too subtle about their opponents.

Yes it was.If you look at it closer you can even see the tires on the road.I was thinking it could be built on top of a BRDM-2 or even a GAZ-66 truck.

According to the report I read hamas claimed it was a captured merkava, not a parade float.
There were even a few terrorists standing on top of it delivering speeches elaborating on how they had 'captured' it.

It's a double bluff - There's actually a real tank underneath the car underneath the fake tank.
