I just got one of these from Revell and was wondering if there were any PE sets available. Also, what Tamiya color can I use or modify to get close to British Sand FS 33434. Thanks

Which version of the M109 do you have?
British yellow for OIF has best been described as Tamiya Light Yellow...I have not used it personally, so I cannot verify.

Armour66,
Sorry, but the British do not use the M109A6 Paladin. USA is currently the only user of the A6. Brits did use older M109A2/3 versions though.
Here is an Brit M109A3 in Desert Storm.

As was said, only the USA uses the Paladin...I thought that might be the kit you were asking about, because the only other Revell M109 kit is the German version.

Thanks for the education guys. So my question is now this. Did the US use the A6 in DS or OIF. I want to do one in a desert color. Thanks.

Armor66, Paladin was used in OIF. It was not in Desert Storm, they began fielding in "94 or '95. It is tyhe current howitzer for US forces.

Thanks, Gino. I was not sure about DS. I was in the Marines during that time but was not sure about it. Know where i can get some photos of the Paladin in OIF?

Chris-
If you are interested, I do have a number of interior pics of the Paladin in case you wanted to do an interior.

Best color for OIF US Forces is Testors 2136 US Army/Marines Gulf Armor Sand. Here is a pic of my build to get a idea of the color and build of the kit.

This is no longer relevant to this thread, as British option has been ruled out, but I want to correct this information. It is not "light yellow", as Tamiya does not make such paint. It was supposed to be XF-60 DARK YELLOW. This is pretty good color for British armor.

Pawel
