Looking to see if anyone knows of any reference materials regarding this unit. I believe that their support tanks were Panzer III L'; wanting to build one to accompany the Tiger I in Tunisia.

Photo coverage of s.Pz.Abt.504 in Tunisia is quite poor, especially their Pz.3.
Here's a page about some of the Pz.3 of the 504.

I actually believe they were Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.N's. At least that is what I read, for when the unit was sent to Africa.

Thanks. I saved this and some other web search pages. You are right it is one of the less documented units. I think I am right about the use of III L' Trop.

I'll have to do some further reading. You are correct about the III N being used as support tanks for Tigers in North Africa but I think that was with 501 and there are some pictures of those.

From the book Tigers in the West, it states N's were used in the 504 as well.

That Alanhamby site says they were Ns but any photographic record suggests J (with L60), L or M.

and with the attachments from Scott below, all suggest that I can build my N alongside my Dragon '131'. Problem solved

You're right as well. The photos of the destroyed L/M with the turret numbers, white rhomboid/red slash/2 could make for a nice build.
