This is Master Box's Napoleonic Cuirassier in 54mm. Not a big fan of Napoleonics, but I am a big sucker for anything Master Box. Baking soda snow, and accessories from Historex.

Comments and criticism welcome.

The pics are a bit blurry but from what I could see this looks really nice!! Great job on the tack and harness, etc. I would maybe suggest a bit more contrast in the shadows and highlights?

Biggles,

Impressive! Looks like it is right out of an old Historex catalogue.

Nice blend of colors, shadowing, and element of chill.

Nicely done!

A suggestion for next time is to make the tufts of grass more random and chaotic.

I LOVE the Napoleonic era! A seemingly ENDLESS variety of COLOR!!! I wish that the plastic "multi-pose" HISTOREX 54mm Figurines were more available!!! Alas and alack...

I recently saw some thief on ebay trying to sell a single 54mm HISTOREX Voltigeur de la Ligne, 1805-1812 (French Light Infantryman of the Line) kit for $85.00 + shipping!!! He had other single HISTOREX Figurines that he hoped to sell in the same price-range. Mounted Cavalrymen (atop their HORSES, not their girlfriends) were listed at $150.00 and more...

OK, rarity notwithstanding, $85.00 is just a tad high for a PLASTIC 54mm HISTOREX Figurine. Proportionately, that's like asking $100,000.00 for a completely restored Model A Ford, when the average going price is presently about $15,000.00 to $20,000.00, depending on the model, year and accuracy of the restoration, and that's with "new, old stock" parts, no aftermarket trash. Certain Duesenbergs, on the other hand, will fetch Millions...

You fellas out there that are complaining about kits with an 800+ parts-count going for the same $85.00 price tag as that one little Voltiguer figure kit, which contains only about 25-30 parts, need to do a reality check...

Much better pics Bigs. I really like this vignette. The only thing that sticks out to me is that tuft of grass brother. Maybe trim it down a bit? It draws the eye away from the cool figs I think.
