I really need to do an NVA tank! What is the proper Russian tank model and who makes the "right" one?

I think the only option for PT-76 in 1/35 scale is Trumpeter. They released several variants of the vehicle, but I'm not sure of the differences between them... Polish vs Russian built perhaps?

There is also an Eastern Express kit (and I'm not sure if Accurate Armour makes one) although it's hard to find. At least it doesn't have rubber band tracks though (although others may prefer them).

I thought it should be a T-54/55?

Great detail and poses! Look perfect for a Ho Chi Minh Trail diorama! And while we are at it, Trumpeter we need the combo PT-76 with T-t4 tank turret, aka the T-63 (tank)!! The stowage for the PT-76 also looks fantastic!

I don't think NVA had T-55s. T-54 yes, but no T-55s.

Trumpy has a T-54A and T-54B, right? Which one is right for NVA?

Are all these T-54As or are there any T-55s or Type 59s?
The little kid aiming the M72 is a great diorama image!

I remember doing a research for a review some time ago, and I found the NVA fielded T-54s, no T-55 during the Vietnam War. Also, Chinese Type-59 was used in the Vietnam War.
T-55 was used in the Cambodian-Vietnam wars in the later years though, by Vietnamese People's Army.
