Hi All,
Never built a Sherman before so I thought it best to sort that out, Having the old Tamiya kit kicking about in the stash I decided to have a go.
Finished the Tasca suspension.
And just between you and I... I know nothing about the Shermans in terms of MK's and sub MK's so if you seen something I'm doing wrong then shout.
Regards
Dan

Hi, Dan!
IMO, you picked a decent kit to start with!
I see that you are well prepared to do battle with this kit, what with all the "extras" that you're showing present in your initial photos! LOOKIN' GOOD!!!
I WISH YOU WELL with this project!

Looking fine. One thing I see is the fairing around the shell ejection port on the turret side, should be blended in to the turret shell as it's part of the casting. It's something I see on lots of "magazine" builds, commonly missed.

O, don't forget to fill in those caved-in weld seams around the hull body. Nice set of aftermarket products!

Cheers Fella,
They are the Tasca vinyl tracks, I have a set of Modelkasten Sherman indi links but I reckon they will take 6 months plus to assemble :-)

Thanks chaps,
Just had a good read of the link Roy , thank you for for that, lots to take in and I think a few re reads will happen,
Antennas .. Great place that I found in the uk
http://www.easycomposites.co.uk/#!/cured-carbon-fibre-products/carbon-fibre-tube/pultruded-carbon-fibre-tube/micro-pultruded-carbon-fibre-tube-07mm-03mm.html
They sell 0.3 mm Carbon rod for only a few bucks , come in 1m lengths and is cheap. Postage is fixed but the more ordered the better.

That's the correct size :-)

Do not use the Cullin device on this Sherman. by the time this M4A3 arrived in the ETO the hedgerows were long gone. Nice build.

looking good, Dan. May I point out something? That Archer casting mark (General Steel Castings) atop the rear roof area of the turret -- it's incongruous. There's already the G inside the hexagon casting mark from the Tamiya (indicating American Steel Granite City)

Thanks Roy,
Been trying to understand the whole foundry marking, I was going to remove the kit markings and apply the serial number for the turret.
A question, for a Fisher built Sherman would that still have the General steel foundry marking ? I know that that I have a few items that would need further altering for a Fisher built turret , just trying to understand, I thought German WWII armour was complicated.
