Hi, Dan!
IMO, you picked a decent kit to start with!
I see that you are well prepared to do battle with this kit, what with all the "extras" that you're showing present in your initial photos! LOOKIN' GOOD!!!

I WISH YOU WELL with this project!

Looking fine. One thing I see is the fairing around the shell ejection port on the turret side, should be blended in to the turret shell as it's part of the casting. It's something I see on lots of "magazine" builds, commonly missed.

O, don't forget to fill in those caved-in weld seams around the hull body. Nice set of aftermarket products!
Happy modeling!

Thanks you chaps

Working on the Browning .50, various parts used to get something decent. Brassin gun but with the barrel removed as it was bent, Eduard PE mount from the main tank set, and a turned RBM Barrel.
Enjoy

Cheers for now

Do not use the Cullin device on this Sherman. by the time this M4A3 arrived in the ETO the hedgerows were long gone. Nice build.

looking good, Dan. May I point out something? That Archer casting mark (General Steel Castings) atop the rear roof area of the turret -- it's incongruous. There's already the G inside the hexagon casting mark from the Tamiya (indicating American Steel Granite City)

Thanks Roy,
Been trying to understand the whole foundry marking, I was going to remove the kit markings and apply the serial number for the turret.
A question, for a Fisher built Sherman would that still have the General steel foundry marking ? I know that that I have a few items that would need further altering for a Fisher built turret , just trying to understand, I thought German WWII armour was complicated.
Using this as my primary source of ref:-

Another micro update.

Further blending of the pistol port

It needs more work and a bit of cast texture adding to the whole turret, that will be done later.

Just roughing out the loader for this build,
He might need dropping down further into the hatch?
not sure if I'll use him yet but he wont go to waist.

Just started to detail up the front hatches,
first one almost done just needs a handle on the inside.
Welds on the hull have been filled and they will get replaced soon.

Cheers for looking
