Hi all,
I'm currently building the Hobby Boss Au-F1 which is a mix of variants and not an accurate model out of the box.

I need to make new road wheel arms bumpers as HB gives you AMX30B2 bumpers which is wrong.

Meng and Heller had the correct model in their AMX 30 kits.
Here is a technical drawing of the pârt I need.

Could someone give me the dimensions of the part from a Meng or a Heller kit?

Likewise, HB provides a wrong .50 MG cradle. Meng Au-F1 is correct. Could someone post pics of the Meng parts so I can make a new cradle as well?

TIA
Olivier

Hi Olivier,

@cal.50
I ordered the Meng Sprue "K" with the correct cradle and hatches via Meng Customer Service (descent price and fast shipping!). Here are some images of the cradle made frome HobbyBoss (sand color) and Meng (green color) parts in my build blog for my Au-F1 http://modellboard.net/index.php?topic=52247.75

or here in my photobucket album http://s630.photobucket.com/user/flugwuzzi/library/AMX30%20Au-F1%20UNIFIL?sort=3&page=4

@AMXB2 Bumper ... sorry can't help out with measuring, my Au-F1 is already glued to the base.

Cheers
Walter

Salut Olivier

Would this be OK ?

The part I've measured comes from a derelict Heller wreck and the springs on both sides (part #17 in your drawing) are long gone...

Thank you for the tip Walter. I'll try to scratch mine and if I can't I'll contact Meng's customer service.

Merci HP, exactly what I needed. I'll try to build at least one by the end of the week-end. Don't worry for the springs they will be hidden behind the roadwheel.
