Matilda II Spotlight wiring question

Does anyone know positively how the spotlight located on the side of the copula was wired on a Matilda II? I've searched and found a couple not so good photos, one is showing the wire going directly into the side of the copula, and the other shows the wire going in through the top. Which is correct?

On a side note, it's "cupola" not "copula"
