I'm looking for anyone who might have finished this kit, or is well along.
I just completed the two big side pieces, with all those $%$^%$ valve wheels, and I tried fitting the big square pieces, and triangular things between them. The big boxes provide the right spacing for the platform, but the triangle "things" don't meet up. There's about an 1/8" gap, which based on the pictures in the instructions isn't right.
What are those things anyway? being triangular, and fixed on the long axis, it can't move and provide "play" or whatever.
Otherwise, other than an enormous number of parts, it's going together well.

I had no fit issue there. Are you talking about the long arm things near the ends of the long pieces?

yes, they don't come together. I'll fiddle with it.
nice job on yours, I'll be using it as a reference.
it looks like maybe you attached them in the middle before attaching to the sides. I attached to the sides first, and glued the "box to one side

Yes, I attached them in the middle, the glued the "feet" to the main sides.
Be careful building the ammo elevators,as you have questions, post them here, and I can take more close up images of the areas you might have trouble with. Also, lastly, one elevator is for the rounds, the other would carry the propelling charge. The AMPS build, had both of the carts holding a round of ammo. And, the hoists were suspended by a 4 part line, not a single cord, real life reference images show this.

I can't find (Google) any images that show the hoist end in any detail. Would you point me to your references, thanks.

Thanks. In one picture I can barely make out that there are four wires in and out of the pulley. That makes sense, it gives a lot more bang for the buck.
