There have been discussions here about how dragon has been reboxing older kits and removing stuff like PE,metal barrels, and Magic Tracks perhaps not making it real clear that they have.I was checking out their site today for the daily specials and noticed this.It seems they added a small disclaimer to this particular Tiger across the picture.I thought this was interesting that they did this.Incidently it's a pretty good price for a Dragon Tiger even with DS.

That disclaimer is only put on there by Dragon USA across the main picture , it's not on the box contents poster, so I don't think it's any of DML's doing or it'll appear as big and bold as that on the box lid....
In any case I believe all their boxes may carry a disclaimer about "box contents may not match description", which apparently in UK consumer law doesn't hold water.
By the way this kit when it first came out had DS tracks so they've not taken the magic tracks out.

I don't see the Tiger, but their big weekend sale reinforces the opinion on Dragon price fixing its products.
What do you mean?

Are you sure? I've looked on the second picture of the cads and they clearly shows what parts (antenna, barrel etc) have been removed or simplified. I agree that the sale price is very reasonable, and far more accurately represents the actual value of the kit though.

Isn't this list of features with all those CAD models a typical practice from Dragon? Content-wise they've always been accurate about whatever the buyer gets in the box. If you're pointing to the bold orange text on the painting, I doubt this it the first time I've seen that.
Like them or not, Dragon has been agressively promoting its DS-tracks (or anything out of DS-vinyl for that matter) ever since.

True, but you have to read the fine print, for example reboxes of CH 6286 and Dragon 6302,6303,and 6253 all have no MT'S or metal barrels like the originals.

On the subject of missing magic tracks, has anyone seen this?
https://www.hlj.com/product/DRA6253MT/Mil
No mention of DS tracks in the images and product code 6253MT. Choice of DS or Magic Track is in the text though.

The ad states-"Detailed jack comprises several pieces – can be extended to different length". Has anyone ever done a dio or a model showing this in use?

Matthew, the item description on your kit states that it contains both Magic Tracks and DS-vinyl ones.
Okay, I've read the fine print. The feature list doesn't mention any MT's, while the CAD images imply that they still have the MT's included, in fact it's the same set of images from first run about decade prior. I can't see that as Dragon coming clean if the MT's are absent.

I did mention the text states DS and magic track. My point was that the box cad only shows magic track and the product code is different. On dragon's website, the cad for 6253 shows DS tracks whereas the cad for 6253MT on HLJ only shows magic tracks.
With regards to Dragon being 'misleading' with what is in the box, maybe it is better using Dragon's website to find out what is in the kit. Example is the two king tiger kits. Both showing as having DS tracks

Apart from the SdKfz 7/2 Flak which promised opening doors, and didn't have them
Or the Conqueror which promised a one piece barrel (but has a split one, leaving aside its 1cm length discrepency)
To name but two
