Zvezda recently announced on Facebook that their new T-35 kit will be out in March and it appears to have at least a partial interior. This will be a nice touch for those who like leaving the hatches open.

I look forward to it. Who made the 1/35 T-35 about 15 years ago? I have it but this model looks like it will replace it.

ICM, kit nr 35041, I bought mine in May 1998 so it was 18 years ago. It had some fit issues ..... can't comment on the accuracy.
There are also two recent kits by Hobby Boss so the comparison should be made against one of them

I don't think they would be silly enough to market a old kit when Hobbyboss is in the market with a modern kit. Curious though they have decided to slug it out with Hobbyboss.

I've built the Hobby Boss one...it's a pretty good kit.

I'm curious as to why you didn't buy a Hobby Boss kit when they came out.

Another curiosity . . . What are the perceived flaws in the Hobby Boss T-35 series that would hopefully be addressed by this kit?

I haven't heard of any except perhaps the machine gun barrels having solid muzzles.

Kurt - I have not heard of any accuracy issues with the HB kit, but the price is a bit much. Maybe Zvezda will undercut them?
Also, many Russians (including Mr. Putin) are upset that so many things Russian are not being made in Russia (ie all these wonderful Trumpeter/HB models?)

I just got one from SMO for $44 + shipping and it's $58 normally. In today's world, that seems reasonable. Sure, Zvezda could be cheaper, but if it's not equal quality, what's the point?

The T-35 is a huge tank. HB's kit is reasonably price for what you're getting.
