Hello Mr. Simon...

Thank you for your comment...

Its true, I just put the name of the Blondie... Bill Sparks was his companion, and they was teh only survivors of the raid...

This mission change many things... Yesterday, I receive a message of one person, that told us, because of this raid, Hitler send an order, that every Commandos was captured, woulb be immediatly killed... This was a great mission... and those guys are heroes...

Thank you Sir.

Nice to see these; coincidentally, I've been trying to attempt a small Operation FRANKTON diorama in small scale utilising the venerable Airfix canoe from their Commandos set. Sadly, the resin I've been using to represent the water has set somewhat less than that desired.

However, that's another problem.

Just to clarify re the Commando Order: it was issued by Hitler in October 1942 - primarily as a result of earlier British commando-type raids whereby German soldiers were found bound and killed. So sadly, those participating in Op FRANKTON - in December 1942 - should they be captured or surrender, were going inevitably to their doom; they would not have known about the order.
