That will be awesome. There are several photos of the vehicle, one where there are 3 or 4 in a line. It will definitely be a fun project.

This thing was actually, best I know, built in mid-later war as a training tank. While the picture shows one with what really looks like a complete early Pz III 37mm turret, there were others of this similar appearance which had faux Pz III turrets made up of wood with some "real"fittings added - and the hull box was built up using braced sheet metal. The Pz 1B hulls were mostly the unarmored and turret-less ex-driver's school machines retired from that prior use.
Would the Pz 1b hull carry that Pz III turret? Consider that the Germans created the functional if very clumsy-looking Bison I by placing an entire 15cm s.IG gun (about 1800 kg or 4000 lbs) plus a large light-armor box on that armored hull sans its little turret. So, figuring that it did have its upper-hull armor intact, plus that gun and the added armor box, you might guesstimate a total added payload of well over 2100 - 2500 kg over that tank's original all-up weight. And that suspension survived.
A typical Pz III turret, without its powered rotating equipment, apparently weighed in around 2000 kg (about 2140 kg with the turret drive devices) - according to the Russians (see http://ftr.wot-news.com/2014/04/09/tank-turret-weights/ )... This means that the Pz 1b hull and suspension COULD carry that Pz III turm just as well as it could carry that s.IG 33 gun and stuff.
Don't assume that the Pz III turret could rotate, nor assume that the "gun" was real or operable. This was NOT built for combat.
But... I am SO GOING TO GET THIS ONE (when and if it ever appears)! I had started collecting bits and scheming the conversions to build one up, but shelved it when I encountered the lack of available detailed info about the "holzgas" equipment as used on this odd-ball.
The Dragon has actually somewhat redeemed itself and shown that it can still give us some excitement and thrills! And, aside from the holzgasgenerator and the upper hull box, most of this one really can come from extant Dragon parts! And that is exactly what the Germans did to build this - extant Pz 1b hull and gear, extant used Pz III turrets, available holzgasgenerator, a little sheet metal, and voila! Another weird-looking panzerattrappen to add to the bizarre fleet of oddities they created during WWII!

I just pranked you all! I was Googling Pz I's and found that pic. I posted the pic as a joke, although Dragon probably will release it now - they probably have all the sprues, and some "new tooling".

I kinda figured as much. No company seems interested in doing holzgas vehicles.

Well, this looks like a serious contender for the ugly armor build.

Even though this "thing" is only a prank, I wouldn't have any use for it. Just goes to show that however far-fetched any real or phony WWII German vehicle could be, the "Panzer-heads" will line up to buy it. As Samuel Goldwyn (Hollywood Producer) once said, "Include me out!"
A GREAT prank, Biggles! More power to ya!!!
