Hi all,

Been a long time since I posted a build here, so I figured I would actually do so. Partially been a long time because I just haven't been getting things finished. Dissatisfied with it, lost interest, etc. So anyhow, here is my latest, which was actually a under 2 week start to end build.

Start - just got the wheels to sit flat (hull is not glued yet)

Hull glued and that big gun on her

Tracks

Paint and decals

and some wash

Without flash on base (flash was giving it a blue tint)

Thanks for looking!

John, welcome back to the hobby and in particular, Braille Scale.🤗 Having built and dealt with a Trumpeter M26 variant, I am well aware of all the kits nuances. Here's my less than stellar version.

You've done a respectable job in both building and finishing your beast. 😉I particularly like the base as it really set the kit off. Can't wait to see more of your small scale endeavours in the future.

Cheers,
Jan

@IrishGreek – John,

Very impressive build you’ve managed there. I like the base; it gives the tank that WWII movie scenes look to it! Like Jan I too have one of these vehicles but I have yet to build mine.

Don’t worry yourself over not posting here in a while, that happens to most of us for many reasons – life happens!!! But I’m glad you posted, hoping to see more of your work here too.

Jan and Eddy,

Thanks for the replies and nice comments. I would say the big thing to watch on this kit is the wheel alignment, especially the return roller up front. It wants to bend with the track tension.

@IrishGreek -John,

Your statement confused me a bit so I did some investigating. My Pershing is the M26A1 and had only link and length tracks. From the Henk of Holland site I found that the M26E3 and M26E4 kits have one length vinyl tracks and as you state, they are too tight. The fourth Pershing variant (M26E2) also appears to have link and length. Will wonders never cease?

Cheers,
Jan

Cool looking build!!! This tank is a beast!

Will you be adding more dust effects?

Thanks. I would like to, but that will wait for a bit, since I am working on the 'big brother' 1/35 kit right now.
