Thanks for posting it up Darren. In the end, it is a pretty decent kit that should build up nicely.

No idea why they are not coming up. I bought mine through eBay. There are still a bunch of them there.

The Spade Ace Tracks are excellent. Make an excellent addition to the M107/M110.

I totally agree. And despite what the TM says (75 Left, 76 Right), I found that 73 links per side works perfectly.

Gino, found the post while looking for an answer... The gun tube recuperator cylinder rods (the polished ones) appear in most photos to actually have covers that are same color as rest of the vehicle. Sheet metal? I can find no detail photos or written description as to what/when these came into use.

BTW I used the PSM resin tracks for this kit and they worked out quite well. I also purchased the 3D In Scale drivers station, but found that the assembly came out to be taller than the hull would accommodate. Also, the difference between the sponson width and overall hull width would not allow placement of the driver's station. I did not develop a good workaround, and closed the driver's hatch..... sigh...

From what I can tell, you may be seeing museum pieces where the chrome part of the piston has just been painted over. All the in-service pics I can find show the chrome portion of the pistons.

I was wondering what this referred to as I'm pretty sure the recuperator is in the cradle under the tube. What you are referring to are equilibrators.
FYI:
Recoil mechanism/Recoil cylinder - Retards the recoiling parts when moving backwards.
Recuperator - Drives the recoiling parts back into battery.
Equilibrator - Counterbalances the tipping parts.

Sorry, I was 11B not 13B, so I refer to the "oooh bright shiny thingees", and keep syllable count to minimum.. Actually, I was browsing the Pinterest files last night and downloaded several images at firebases showing what appears to be the covers for the equilibrators. Even the image from Gino shows the covers as the OD sleeves on the upper portion of the rods. The Tamiya kit only has exposed rods on the upper portion.

To me, it looks like the upper portions are just painted, but I could be off.
