Hi all, Shall I apply wash over a matt, satin or glossy surface? It it OK to apply AK wash over Tamiya acrylic) Thank you!

No problem on tamiya,i prefere satin or gloss,matt can give some problem with wash,stain and more difficult to clean

yes, a satin or gloss coat over the tamiya colours is a good idea. The shiny surface allows the wash to run into the recesses a lot better

Agree with above. You may also mix some gloss varnish with the base paint to get the satin finish straight on the first coat.

I apply my AK or Mig wash on a Matte surface for a grimy look,works fine.
